Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Surakarta, commonly known as Persis Solo, is a football club based in Surakarta (also known as Solo), Central Java in Indonesia. Persis Solo was a football club that was founded 8 November 1923 in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia by Sastrosaksono. Inception indirectly using the name Persis Solo, but still named Vorstenlandschen Voetbal Bond (VVB), a kind of association football. And in 1928, Vorstenlandsche Voetbal Bond officially renamed Persis Solo.

In the season 2006/2007 to be the pinnacle of achievement for Just because it's in season Exactly escaped promotion to the highest caste league level i.e. Indonesian First Division. The achievement was not accompanied by a Division 1 League title since losing to Persebaya Exactly in the final match held at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri.

History

Inception was named Vorstenlandsche Voetbal Bond (VVB), which is a kind of association football in the city of Solo. VVB is a world pioneer in Indonesian football. World pioneers called football because VVB founded before football clubs in Indonesia, even before the PSSI or the Football Association of Indonesia . VVB was founded on 8 November 1923 by Sastrosaksono from Mars FC and R. Ng. Reksodiprojo and Sutarman from Romeo FC. By Soemokartiko, in 1928 the name of Persis Solo or Solo Indonesian Football Association official used to replace the name Vorstenlandsche Voetbal Bond (VVB).

Just re-present in Indonesian football scene since 2006, after many years became fossilized Exactly tub for too long to settle in this country amateur competition.
