Pet Sitters International

Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world's largest educational association for professional pet sitters.[1] PSI represents more than 7,100 independent professional pet-sitting businesses in the United States, Canada and abroad.

According to PSI, its focus is promoting, supporting, and recognizing quality in pet sitting. The organization provides products and services, such as educational resources, a certification program, The Pet Sitter's World publication, and an annual convention,[1] to support its members in becoming successful at making a career of pet-sitting.[2] It also makes available to its membership access to affordable bonding and liability insurance. In addition, PSI operates the Pet Sitter Locator, an online pet-sitter search tool which the organization claims to average more than 30,000 searches per month.

PSI created Take Your Dog to Work Day in 1999.[3] It is celebrated the Friday following Father’s Day.[4]

PSI was established in 1994 by Patti Moran.[1]
