Peter De Smedt
Peter De Smedt was a City Councillor in the St. Charles ward in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada from 1998–2006.[1][2] He previously served 36 years as a navigator and pilot in the Canadian Air Force, retiring with the rank of Brigadier-General.[3]
Following De Smedt's retirement, the St. Charles Ward Council Seat was filled by community business leader Grant Nordman.[4]
As a private citizen, De Smedt was appointed to serve on the City's newly formed Economic Opportunity Commission. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Convention Center.[3]
