Peter M. Bentler is an American researcher and professor in the areas of psychology and statistics. He specializes in structural equation modeling, psychometrics and drug abuse. Professor Bentler is a Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the developer of the structural equation modeling software EQS. His publications have over 100,000 citations as of 2014.^[1] In 2014, he was awarded the Psychometric Society Career Award.^[2] In 2015, he was elected fellow of the American Statistical Association.^[3]
