Peter Moore (trombonist)

Peter Moore (born 1 January 1996) is a trombonist from Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, who was the winner of BBC Young Musician of the Year in May 2008, when he was only twelve years old.[1] On 29 May 2014, it was announced that the London Symphony Orchestra had appointed Moore its co-principal trombonist.[2]

Moore, who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is the youngest winner of the competition to date, which is open to young persons aged eighteen and under.[3] He graduated from Chethams School of Music, in Manchester, in 2015.
