Pethia meingangbii is a species of cyprinid native to Manipur, India.[2]
Pethia meingangbii is located in nine locations in northeast India and Myanmar. These species are known to be common in these areas and have no major threats. These species are found in freshwater rivers, streams, lakes, and pools. In India, the local people eat this species as food. The fish is sold in the Moreh Market, Manipur, India in very small scale.[1.]
