Petriano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Ancona and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Pesaro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,659 and an area of 11.3 square kilometres (4.4 sq mi).[1]
