The scaly-breasted hummingbird (Phaeochroa cuvierii) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is monotypic for its genus.
Distribution and habitat
It is found in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
