Phaloesia saucia, the Saucy Beauty Moth or Saucy Beauty, is a moth of the Erebidae family. It is found from southern Texas[1] to Venezuela.[2][3]
Adults are on wing nearly year round. Adults feed on nectar from Crucita, Eupatorium odoratum, Aloysia gratissima and Sabal texana.
The larvae feed on Tournefortia species, including Tournefortia volubilis.[4]
Taxonomy
Phaloesia fulvicollis was previously wrongly listed as a synonym of Gnophaela aequinoctialis.
