Philaethria pygmalion is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It was described by Fruhstorfer in 1912. It is found from eastern Colombia to central Brazil.

The larvae feed on Passiflora coccinea, Passiflora faroana, Passiflora hexagonocarpa, Passiflora mansoi and Passiflora phaeocaula.[2]
