Philippines at the FIBA Basketball World Cup

The Philippines has participated in five editions of the FIBA World Cup, first participating in 1954. The Philippines is the most successful country from FIBA Asia in the tournament finishing third in 1954. The Philippines hosted the tournament once in 1978. The country last participated in 2014 and made a bid to host the 2019 World Cup but lost to China's bid.
