Phoneyusa rutilata, or the West African Gray baboon spider, is a member of the tarantula family, Theraphosidae.
Description
Phoneyusa rutilata is a burrowing spider. Itis dull black and gray in color.
Distribution
Phoneyusa rutilata was originally described in Guinea-Bissau, in Bolama. The spider is also distributed throughout the savannahs of West Africa, including Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, and southwestern Mali.
