Bryophryne cophites is a species of frog in the Craugastoridae family. It is endemic to Peru and known only from slopes of the Abra Acanacu pass in the Cusco Region.[2] Its natural habitats are wet puna grasslands and elfin forest. It also occurs in cloud forest but is rare in that habitat.[1]
The species occurs in the Manú National Park. Outside the reserve, it is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
