The northern brownbul (Phyllastrephus strepitans) is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
