Pierre-Luc Dubois (born June 24, 1998) is a Canadian ice hockey player. He is currently playing with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL.

Playing career

Junior

Dubois was drafted by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the 1st round (5th overall) of the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft, and has played with the Screaming Eagles since the 2014–15 QMJHL season. In his rookie season, Dubois was the league's top scoring 16 year old.[1]

Leading up to the NHL draft, Dubois was ranked the No. 1 North American skater. He was described as a multi-dimensional player possessing the ability to influence a game in a number of ways, and a bona-fide future star for an NHL club.[2]

International

On December 1st, 2015, Dubois was announced as one of 30 players invited to the team Canada selection camp for the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championships. He was one of only two 17-year-olds invited.[3]

Personal

Dubois is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, with his mother originally from Georgia. His father, Eric Dubois, is a former professional ice hockey player and is currently assistant coach of Rimouski Océanic of the QMJHL. Dubois began playing hockey when he was three years old in Germany while his father played in the DEL.[4]
