Pigs is an album by the English rock band b.l.o.w.. It was the first and only full album released by the band, with Man And Goat Alike (1994) being a "mini-album".[1]

Style

Pigs had a sound closer in style to that of The Doors, than that of b.l.o.w.'s previous "mini-album" Man And Goat Alike (1994) which was steeped in Jimi Hendrix style riffing. Both styles - and others - were still represented, but the album was certainly darker in tone than the band's preceding work.[1]

Lineup

The album lists its personnel as three of the founding members; brothers Bruce John & Jim Dickinson (guitar & keys respectively) & Dave Gooding (vocals).

No mention is made of fellow founders Mark Richardson (save for a writing credit on the track, "King Pig") or bassist Nicky Boyes (apart from thanking him "especially" in the liner notes) and drums & bass are credited instead to Mike Bowes & Ashley Reaks (mis-spelt Reakes) respectively.

Mark Richardson had left prior to the recording of the album to join Skunk Anansie it is unclear what prompted Boyes departure.[1]
