Pine Island Airport (IATA: DUF) is a privately owned airport, located in the town of Corolla, North Carolina, owned by Turnpike Properties LLC.[1] The airport is referred locally by the 7NC2 code[2] and IATA code DUF. The airport has one 3,450 ft. runway, designated runway 17/35. As of May 31, 2012, the FAA indicates that the airport is operational,[1] however, aerial photographs from January, 2008 indicated that the airport's only runway has been closed [3] The airport is only served by private aircraft.
