Pioneer Generation Package

The Pioneer Generation Package is a SGD9 billion package, launched in 2014, to honour elderly Singaporeans for their contributions to Singapore. The package would cover around 450,000 Singaporeans, aged 65 and above, over a 20 year period. The package does not cover Singaporeans who are aged 65 after 2014 (born in or after 1950) or obtained citizenship on or after 1 Jan 1987.[1]

Coverage

The package covers Singapore living Singaporeans who met these two criteria:
i. Aged 16 and above in 1965 (born on or before 31 Dec 1949, which also means they are aged 65 and above in 2014);

ii. Obtained citizenship on or before 31 Dec 1986.[2]
