Pitch White
Pitch White is a photo manipulation technique developed as a means to bring evening and nighttime citiscapes to life.[1] Color enhancing is at the core of the technique, saturating dominant colors while removing dark tones.[2] Pitch White can be reached either through panography or through the use of a single image. The technique was developed by Guillaume Corpart Muller in 2007.[3][4] While the technique was originally tailored to citiscapes, it was quickly adapted and applied to other daytime and evening settings such as lucha libre and sea creatures.
Media appearances
Images using the Pitch White technique were published in B&W magazine,[5] Fotoseptiembre and Regards magazine,[6] as well as being prized at the International Photography Awards.[7]
