La Pitoune is a Log Flume ride at the Montreal's La Ronde amusement park.
History
La Pitoune opened the same year as La Ronde, in 1967.[1] In 2007, it celebrated its 40 years, and it's one of the 7 original rides of La Ronde still operating. The 6 others are Le Galopant, Tchou Tchou, Joyeux moussaillons, La Marche du Mille Pattes (previously petite montagne russe), the Minirail and La Spirale.
Ride Experience
After a first 180 degrees turn, riders enter a conveyor belt. At the end, riders follow the flume which will bring you back to almost ground level during a series of gentle falls and turns, and after another conveyor belt, riders end their ride with the last chute.
