Places Victoria, previously known as VicUrban is an agency of the Victorian Government responsible for overseeing sustainable development in Victoria, Australia. It is intended to support planning policies such as Melbourne 2030 and acts as a land developer with a 12% market share in land sales.[1] Places Victoria has been involved in projects such as the Melbourne Docklands, transit-oriented development in various activity centres and housing developments around Victoria.
In 2012 it reduced its workforce from 189 to 97 employees and in the financial year to June 2013 it recorded a loss of $192 million, after a loss of $18 million in 2012.[2]
