Playboy Clik (PBC)
Playboy Clik (PBC) is a hip-hop partnership fronted by Ryan Benson (RyanKeif) and Derrik Stewart (N.U.T). Their sound is an emblematic blend of southern rap, R&B and G-Funk.[1]
RyanKeif and N.U.T. have been performing as a duo since 2005 when they released their first mixtape "PBC: The Underground Volume 1". PBC self-marketed their music, regularly booking regional performances around the Midwest. Then in 2008 the duo reached out to entertainment entrepreneur and CEO of Simple Life Records Kareem Lee for artist development and expanded marketing opportunities.
In 2009 the duo was signed to Simple Life Records and released "We Ready" - their first mixtape on the label.[2] They can also be heard on “Simple Life: the Remixes Volume 1”, “Simple Life: the Ladies Night Volume 2”, "Simple Life: Droppin' Bombs" and "Simple Life: Naptown Expo 2010". PBC recently wrapped production on their follow-up mixtape "AwwReady" scheduled for release on May 29, 2011.
