Established in 2005, the first class of graduating seniors was the class of 2008. Pleasant Grove High School is the 8th high school of the Elk Grove Unified School District. Pleasant Grove High School has the highest API Score in the Elk Grove Unified School District. PGHS mascot is the Eagle, and the colors are navy blue, white, and red.
Athletics
The Pleasant Grove High School football team has gone to win their league title three years (2007, 2008, 2009) in a row and made it to the playoffs in all but the first season of the program (2006). They lost in the section title game in 2008, but won the 2010-11 Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 Championship and started the 2011-2012 season ranked 8th in the Nation. Their varsity softball team was previously ranked 1st in the nation in 2009, and Pleasant Grove High School have had recent success in many of their sports.
