Plecoptera violacea is a species of moth of the Erebidae family. It is found from Sundaland east to New Guinea, New Caledonia and Fiji.
Larvae have been recorded on Erythrina, Pterocarpus, Senna, Pterocarpus, Randia, Psychotria, Tarenna and Phyllanthus.
