Polaris K-12 School is a magnet school serving grades Kindergarten through 12th grade in Anchorage, Alaska. It is in the Anchorage School District.

In addition to typical programs found in schools serving its grade levels, Polaris's other programs include[3]

Tent city project

On February 27, 2015, the school celebrated Anchorage's 100th anniversary with a "tent city". The project was initiated by two students wondered what life in Anchorage was like in 1915.[5][6]

Alaska State Dog

Polaris School students were instrumental in having the Alaskan malamute designated as Alaska's official state dog. Over a 3-year period, students did research and testified before the state legislature.[7]
