The False Chalkhill Blue (Polyommatus corydonius) is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. The species is distributed in Caucasus, Transcaucasia, NE Turkey, and NW Iran,.[2] It inhabits wide variety of grasslands and woodlands. In Armenia occurs from 1200 to 2000 m a.s.l.[3] The known larval host plants of the species in Turkey is Hippocrepis comosa,[4] in Caucasus - Coronilla varia.[5] The species has not been assessed for IUCN Red List. In Armenia during 2003-2013 it demonstrates increasing population trend.[6]
