Polypsecta is a genus of moths belonging to the family Tineidae.[1] It contains only one species, Polypsecta halmeuta, which is found in Brazil.
The wingspan is about 12 mm. The forewings are elongate and light greyish-ochreous, irregularly sprinkled or slightly strigulated with blackish-fuscous. The markings are formed by dense blackish-fuscous irroration. The hindwings are grey.[2]
