K. Ponmudy

K. Ponmudi(Real Name Deivasigamani K) was the minister for Higher Education in Tamil Nadu state of India during 2006-2011.[1] He was born in T. Edaiyar on 19-August-1950 in Villupuram District. He has a Bachelor's degree in Law, a Master's degree in History, Political Science and Public Administration and a Doctorate in Political Science. He is an alumunus of Annamalai University.[2] Before entering professional politics, he was working as a professor in the Villupuram government college. He has been elected to the Tamil Nadu assembly four times. During 1989 - 1991 DMK rule he was the Minister for Health and during 1996 - 2001 Minister for Transport & Highways[3][4] He authored a book titled Dravidian Movement in India and Black Movement in the U.S.A.[5]
