Ponnal is a village in Rangareddy district in the Telangana state of India. It falls under Shamirpet mandal. This village is 23 km away from Secunderabad. It is 2 km away from Outer Ring Road. The village is located 6 km away from Shamirpet and is covered with green trees around. People from twin cities come here to celebrate their weekends with families and friends to get refreshed out of the polluted concrete jungle of Telangana's Heart city Hyderabad.

A famous GANDI CHITTARAMMA TEMPLE is located in the forests of Ponnal village. People from different areas of Telangana state worship Goddess Chittaramma & Peddamma. Chittaramma Jathara is held every year in the month of January or February. As the Temple is located in a green forest covered with trees and mountains, it would be suggested to visit this Temple.

Shirdi Sai Baba temple is also famous here. Every Thursday Annadanam is held in Sai Baba Temple.
