PopUrls is a mashup of the web's most visited social news sites and portals that encapsulates headlines of its sources in near-realtime. Introduced in March 2006 by Thomas Marban, the site created a new trend in the so-called Single Page Aggregators and serves as a case study for Web Syndication. PopUrls was included as number five in Time Magazine's list of the top 50 websites of 2009.[1]

PopUrls was acquired by Idealab in July 2010 for an undisclosed amount.

In October 2014, PopUrls' original creator Thomas Marban launched its official successor called Popist.com
