The Port Elgin and North Shore Railway is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge[1] heritage railway in Port Elgin, Ontario.
The railway operates excursion trains along the beach on a 1-mile (1.6 km) route in downtown Port Elgin. The round trip takes approximately 20 minutes.
Trains on the PE & NS are scheduled on weekends in June from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with cooperative weather (meaning no rain or wind), and from June 20 until September 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. September has the same schedule as June. In the summer, trains run as frequently as five times per day except on Mondays.
The line has hosted Day Out with Thomas tour in Canada since 2013.[2]
