Posi-Tone Records is an American jazz record label founded by producer/musician Marc Free, who currently runs the company with engineer Nick O'Toole.[1][2][3] The label's first five titles were issued in 1995.
The artist roster includes established jazz musicians, including trombonist Steve Davis (Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, One For All), saxophonist Ralph Bowen (Out Of The Blue), guitarist Ed Cherry (Dizzy Gillespie), trumpeter David Weiss, Jon Davis (Jaco Pastorius), Will Bernard, Brian Charette, Walt Weiskopf (Steely Dan), Joe Magnarelli (Harry Connick, Jr.), and Michael Dease as well as a number of rising artists.[4]
As of 2014, Posi-Tone’s catalog of records included more than 115 titles.[5]
