Prabhat Kids School

Prabhat Kids School is a CBSE affiliated pre-primary, primary, and secondary school in Akola, Maharashtra. The school was established in 2003 by Dr. Gajanan Nare and his wife Mrs. Vandana Nare. The school is the only day boarding school in Akola.

Formation

The school was originally formed as only a play group and kinder garten school in 2003. Prior to that, Prabhat Hobby Classes were run in vacations, for kids, which gained popularity in akola. Now the school has been extended up to class 10th.

Academics

The school has been affiliated to CBSE since 2013. Prior to that it was affiliated to Maharashtra state board. Students have their curriculum according to the norms of CBSE. It is the second CBSE affiliated school in Akola. The school undertakes a concept of 'Remedial classes' wherein students who have difficulty in understanding are given extra hours attention by teachers to motivate them to perform better. There is also a parents counselling center, to help parents better understand problems of their children.

Extra-curricular activities

Along with academics, the school is well known for students performances in non academic and non technical activities. These include : - Arts and Crafts - Music, Dance and Drama - Sports and Games - Exhibition Center - Clubs

Franchisees

Originally, the school was based in Toshniwal Layout, New city, Akola. Since the formation of day boarding school, it has moved to Washim Bye-Pass, Akola. The school has now many franchisees in different cities near Akola.

Campus

The day boarding school has a campus of 10 acres on Washim Bye-pass, Akola. There are farms surrounding and campus, and the campus is full of trees. There are play grounds for many different kinds of sports in the campus. The main building includes all the classrooms, cabins of staff as well as the mess and dining hall of the school. There is also a huge "assembly" hall which is utilised for morning assembly as well as for special events in the school.

There is mess facility available in school. Many of the vegetables used in the mess are obtained from the nearby fields, which are cultivated by the school itself.
