Prabodh Kirtilal Mehta (Born 1936) son of Late Shri Kirtilal Mehta the founder of Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre;[1] is the favorable trustee of Lilavati Hospital and a Chairman of the Gembel Diamond NV, Kay Diamond and Joint Managing Director of Pace Gems in Dubai.[2][3] Prabodh Mehta in his young age of 17 years joined Gembel European NV to assist his father Kirtilal Mehta in the diamond business. He is well known for his diamond creations and is a known Innovator in the diamond industry.[4]
Along with his schooling education he managed to grab the diamond education as well that helps in building his career in the field of diamond merchant. In the year of 1953, Prabodh Kirtilal Mehta Left for Antwerp, Belgium to launch his company of Gembel European NV which was aimed by his father Kirtilal M. Mehta.[5] After this, he again visited to India in Mumbai to set up diamond manufacturing units.
Prabodh Kirtilal Mehta has received several awards for his diamond achievements and excellence in business globally and social work as a trustee of lilavati hospital including Order of Leopold II from the King of Belgium in 1993 and Officer in de Kroonorde from the King of Belgium in 2004.[6]

Family
Prabodh Kirtilal Mehta married Usha in the year 1963 and they have been blessed with two children, Chetan Mehta who is now 48 years old and working with Gembel European Sales, Adesh International and Adesh Gems and usually pays official visits to the UAE, Israel, India, USA, Hong Kong and many more European countries, and his daughter Neena Parikh who is now 44 years old, married and living in Dubai.

Interest
Prabodh Mehta is now 77 years old, but even now he is very active and handles major operations of his companies Gembel European NV and Pace Gems in Dubai. Business management and operations are his segments of interest where he is also keen to read religious books, listening to Mohammad Rafi Songs and watching Bollywood films.
