Premaka Gurushantha (Born 2 September 1887, Died 1950) was the first[1][4] Bishop - in - Church of South India Diocese of Mysore).
Gurushantha studied spirituality at the United Theological College, Bangalore during the years 1912-1916[5]
It was in 1947 that Gurushantha hailing from a Methodist background was consecrated as Bishop along with eight others at the St. George's Cathedral, Chennai.[6]
