Preparis, Inc. is a United States-based company that provides business continuity and cybersecurity software and services to financial services, legal, commercial real estate and other industries worldwide.[2]
History
Preparis was founded as a privately held technology company in 2007 by American entrepreneur Armistead Whitney. Whitney was first inspired to start Preparis from his experience navigating 9/11 as an executive at Sekani, a media company based in New York City.[3]
In 2009, Preparis was accepted into the ATDC,[4] a business incubator affiliated with Georgia Tech and shortly thereafter closed $4.6 million in venture capital.[5]
In 2012 Preparis graduated from ATDC[6] and moved into its new headquarters in Buckhead in Atlanta.[7]
In 2013 Preparis launched solutions for the commercial real estate industry and was named a BOMA 360 Ambassador.[8]
In 2014 Preparis launched solutions for cybersecurity preparedness and compliance.[9]
In 2016, Preparis raised $2.5 million to support its growth in cybersecurity.[10]
Recognition
In 2008 Preparis was named a Top 40 Technology Company in Georgia.[11]
In 2009 research analyst group Gartner named Preparis a Cool Vendor for business continuity and security software.[12]
In 2010 Preparis won the Always On Award.[13]
In 2011 Preparis was named a Top 40 Technology Company in Georgia.[14]
In 2014 Preparis made the Inc. 5000 list.[15]
In 2016 Preparis was named a Top 40 Technology Company in Georgia[16]
