Presença de Anita (English: Anita's Presence) is a 2001 Brazilian miniseries based on the novel of the same name written by Mário Donato. An obsession, seduction and death story about the 18-year-old lolita-type girl, Anita and the 45-year-old family man, Fernando, it stars Mel Lisboa and José Mayer as the main characters. Mel Lisboa, who was 19 at the time, had her acting debut in this series, playing her most-famous role up to today. The series, directed by Ricardo Waddington and Alexandre Avancini, aired on Rede Globo from August 7 through August 31, 2001, in 16 chapters.
Synopsis
The plot begins with the couple, Lucia Helena (Helena Ranaldi) and Fernando, who are going through a marital crisis. He is an architect with literary aspirations who wants to finish his first book. She is a woman whose main concern is to rescue the love of her husband and save her marriage. They live in São Paulo, in the urban chaos. Lucia Helena decides to invest in a trip with the family, her son Luiz and her stepdaughter Luiza (Júlia Almeida), in her hometown Florence, in the state of São Paulo, where the family gathers for Christmas and New Year.
In order to save her marriage, Lucia tries to please her husband by accepting his rages, encouraging his literary projects, and participating in his fantasies. But Anita loves sex, and she is younger and mischievous.
