Princess Amalia of Nassau (given names: Amalia Gabriela Maria Theresa; born 15 June 2014) is a Luxembourgish princess and the only child of Prince Félix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg. She is currently third in the line of succession to the throne of Luxembourg, behind her uncle Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and her father.
Birth and baptism
Princess Amalia was born on 15 June 2014 at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital, which is part of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. At birth, she weighed 2.95 kg and measured 50 cm. The royal palace announced also her names in the birth announcement.[1]
She was baptised on 12 July 2014 in a chapel in the town of Saint-Ferréol-de Longues. Her paternal aunt Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg and her maternal uncle Felix Lademacher were named as her godparents.[2]
