Princeton High School is located in Princeton, West Virginia and is the largest high school in Mercer County, enrolling over 1000 students. Princeton High School is located at 1321 Stafford Drive in Princeton at the site of present-day Princeton Middle School. It also has one of the top five best athletic complexes in the state, boasting the million-dollar renovated Hunnicut Stadium, five star weight room, field turf, fencing and landscaping. Recently, the school embarked on a $50,000 renovation for its gymnasium (where senior graduation is held).

The school is 97% white, 2% African-American, and 1% other.

Extra-curricular activities & clubs

The organizations, clubs, and extra-curricular activities of Princeton High School have grown since the school's founding. These clubs contribute significantly to student interests (such as art, music, etc.), fundraising and community service (such as Key Club), and other activities. For liberal arts, the school has Band, Madrigals, Center Stage, and Show Choir.

Princeton High School Homecoming Event and numerous other events. The Student Council also frequently discusses issues concerning the school and how to improve certain situations. Clubs include Key Club, Interact Club, Art Club, Pep Club, National Honors Society, Model UN/Students for International Awareness, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Future Business Leaders of America.

Student council

The Princeton High School Student Council is one of the most active clubs within the school. Several students from each grade become members representing their grades as part of the student government.

Sports

Princeton High School has a wide variety of sports that several students participate in. Football, Basketball, Baseball, Golf, Tennis, Track and Cross-Country, Softball, Volleyball, Wrestling, and Soccer are the most popular sports of the school. Several of these are fall sports, while few others are spring sports. The 2012 Baseball Team won the state championship 7 to 4 against Nitro High School.

Events

During the 2009-2010 school year, the school officials have taken a more strict stand against unhealthy foods served in the school.

The school has also changed its grading/ranking policy in an effort to align it with the rest of the state of West Virginia. It was also changed in an effort to promote fairness to students taking more challenging courses. AP courses are worth a 5.0, honors are now worth 4.5, and regular classes are worth a 4.0. As of 2009, there were seven Advanced Placement courses in the school: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature, AP United States History, and AP Studio Art.
