Commission on European Family Law
The Commission on European Family Law (as known as CEFL) was established in September 2001 and has, as its main objective the role of working for the harmonization of Family Law throughout Europe. The CEFL consists of approximately 26 distinguished experts in the field of family and comparative law from all European Union Member States as well as several other European countries.
Principles
One main accomplishment of the commission has been the creation of a set of common principles in the area of the Family Law based upon research of the national legislation of European states.
