Priya Banerjee is a Canadian film actress of Indian descent, who works mainly in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films.[1][2][3] Priya did her first film Kiss in Telugu in 2013, opposite Adivi Sesh.[4] She then did her first film in Tamil Ula as a lead in which Dwayne Bravo has also done one item number. She has also been shooting for her second Telugu film with Sundeep Kishan and Rashi Khanna as the other leads. She also earned a nomination for the Best Telugu Female Debut Actress at the 3rd South Indian International Movie Awards, but lost out to Avika Gor.

Early life

Priya Banerjee family hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. But Priya was born and brought up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Priya's father is an engineer and was also into singing, and her mother is a homemaker. She had lived in middle East for a brief period. Priya did her schooling and university in Canada. She was declared Miss Photogenic at the Miss World Canada in 2011. She has been a model and TV show host. She has also been trained in Kathak and Rabindra Sangeet(classical music) and performed in shows in Canada. She finished her degree in international marketing and computer science in 2012. She came to Mumbai in January 2012 for an acting course in Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares academy. Priya has also done ads with Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra for WeChat. Priya was selected for the role in Kiss after Adivi Sesh had auditioned almost 150 girls.
