Professional Rapper is the debut studio album by the American rapper Lil Dicky. It was self-released independently on July 31, 2015.[6]

Background

In 2013, after releasing his debut mixtape titled So Hard, Dicky turned to Kickstarter; his goal being raising $70,000 to release a debut album with accompanied music videos and tours. In the month-long crowdfunding period, at the beginning of November 20, 2013, it then reached the fundraising goal only one week later. The fundraising was dramatically successful, resulting in the total haul of $113,017.[7]

Commercial performance

The album debuted at number 7 on the US Billboard 200, selling 26,000 equivalent album units with 22,000 copies sold. [8] The album debut at number one in Top Comedy Albums, Top Rap Albums and Top Independent Albums.
