Nigel Bond (better known as "PromoBoi") is an American rapper. Well known for his single "Gucci Louie Prada", which landed him a Record Deal with Soulja Boy's record label SODMG and his studio album "FRE$H" under the label featuring artists such as Kid Ink.[1]
Career
PromoBoi started his own record label "Mindset Records" in 2014, creating his own content under his label & releasing it indie, also creating marketing campaigns for Artist Marques Houston & Mila J. PromoBoi dropped out of high school in the 11th grade to relocate to Miami with Chicago native Lil Mouse. Meeting recording artist Teyana Taylor and NFL star Bryant Mckinnie, building a relationship with them. directing and producing music earlier in his career PromoBoi did radio hosting for a radio station where he met Empire's actor Bryshere Gray, better known as Yazz, where the two started their music pursuit together.
- Reality Show and VH1
Promoboi announced the interest to VH1 to release his new reality show, tweeting the Staff but with no reply.[2] Then he announced that he will be releasing it on Netflix.[3][4]
- Soulja Boy Beef
The artist allegadly released "Snakes", a Diss track for Soulja Boy released in 2013.[5] According to sources, the beef started when Chief Keef was accused of stealing Soulja Boy's chain, later calling Promoboi in to address and get it back, when the subject refused to get involved, causing this Soulja to drop Promoboi from the label.[6]
