Prophet Yahweh
Prophet Yahweh, or The Seer of Yahweh, (Ramon Watkins) was an American man who resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, and claimed to have the ability to summon UFOs by using passages from the Bible. He said that he developed this ability after studying the Old Testament in its original Hebrew form and acquiring knowledge related to UFOs from his personal studies. He was purported by his brother to have died from a heart attack in August, 2014.[1]
Biography
The self-proclaimed Prophet Yahweh was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Melrose High School where he was a rising star in both football and basketball. After high school he briefly attended Tuskegee Institute on a basketball scholarship before accepting a football scholarship to Southern Illinois University where he joined the ministry. Prophet Yahweh's first radio ministry occurred in 1978 on WYZE, an Atlanta, Georgia, radio station. In 1981, he began his first cable television program at Viacom. Then in 1996, he began airing a UFO cable TV show in Los Angeles, California. After claiming to have had a dream instructing him to move to Las Vegas, he relocated and, in August 1999, began a cable TV show titled, Prophet Yahweh - Ufologist.[2] Many of his self-proclaimed teachings can now be accessed online via YouTube and his official website.
Examples of claims
- Yahweh is the true and correct pronunciation of God's name in the first 39 Books of the Bible. It was wrongly transliterated as "Jehovah", and in all 6,823 places was wrongly replaced with the word "LORD" and "GOD". The vowels and meaning of Jehovah are based off the words for "calamity" and "vain" (being, "hoveh" or "hawwah" in the Masorete Hebrew) and a Masoretic system of Hebrew called Qetib Qere. It was intentionally done by European Jewry to hide the emanation of the Hebrew Godhead and its "Shem" (i.e., the name of God). This name, the four letters (i.e., the Tetragrammaton) would become lost and unreadable for thousands of years. (i.e., because there was a belief the name of God was too holy to pronounce). Prophet's indisputable proof the name was pronounced "Yahweh", he cites, are the Works of Josephus in the Antiquities of the Jews. Josephus describes the name was four vowels, and not four consonants (i.e., like, YHWH). Prophet says, the four letters of God's name are vowel letters (in the original Hebrew language). Thus, Prophet didn't promote the usage of "YHWH" as the Tetragrammaton, but rather "IAUE" as a tetragram. Some of the earliest of Christians from a century similar to Josephus, gave similar readings as "Iabe" from the Samaritans, and others: "Iau" and "Iaoue".[3]
- Yahweh, are a race of superhuman black men, from another planet, that travel around the universe in spaceships. UFOs, and glowing orbs, are by-products of the spaceships (i.e., from the cargo area), "...like torpedoes from submarines". Prophet said he does not know what "Yahweh" was before He made planets; but what he was after he made planets, was best personified as a "superhuman black man". Prophet taught vehemently that Yahweh and his angels were not spirits, ghosts, or spooks. They were rather, supernatural beings similar to us in appearance. This is why Yahweh doesn't move like a spirit, but rather rides on the wind in a chariot.
- The original Biblical Hebrews were a dark-skinned race, who lived on the north east corner of Africa, called Canaan, and then Israel. Prophet says that the ancestors of African-Americans would have been classified as "Afroasiatic", especially in language and culture- though PY did not subscribe to that term. He claimed, people of African-American descent were Semitic in nature; and would be the modern descendants of the original Jews, Hebrews, and Israelites - who fled from the Romans into Africa after 70 AD.
- Yahweh and his superhuman angels live outside the Earth in a magnificent temple on another planet. Prophet says there is a beautiful ocean (of fire) there, and an atmosphere similar to earth's (i.e., one that creates rainbows). There, the Messiah (called "the Lamb", or "Immanuel") and twenty four ancient ones called "the Elders" congregate before Yahweh's throne. Only the Elders, he mentions, had seats...but the Messiah does not. He is found standing, or ministering (praying) as a servant in the forefront room.
- The terms "Pillar of Fire," "Pillar of Cloud,", Ezekiel's "Wheel within a Wheel", "Rings (i.e., Rocks) Full of Eyes", "Chariot of Fire," and "The Glory of the LORD [Yahweh]" are ancient man's attempts to describe high technology of their time (lacking the future engineering language of our day; starting in the 1960's on). Prophet claims these are secret references to encounters, and sightings of Spaceships, Crafts, and Ancient UFOs. Sometimes there are only parts of the craft are described; like in the case of "Yahweh passing before Moses". "Ophanim" in modern Jewish mysticism, are the lowest level of "Yahweh encounters". They are "wheels within a wheels" and rings full of eyes. Prophet saw these "eyes" as sections of the craft that were "windows", or portholes.
- There is an Old Testament Messiah, and there is a New Testament Messiah. Prophet believes the name of Immanuel, was switched by the Greco-Roman Scribes in the Gospels to read as "Jesus" (citing Isaiah 7:14's appearance in the Gospel of Matthew) and not as the true Messiah's name. Prophet believed the name of "Jesus" was satanic, and had its origins in the Roman Druid mystery system of Esus and Zeus (i.e., putting "YAH" at the beginning of the name- creating "Hesus" or "Iesous"). Prophet Yahweh assesses, much of the traditions about the first century Christ, was a fabrication from scribes, and a plagiarism of the OT Messiah whom had already came and died for the sins of his people Israel. Though controversial, Prophet didn't publicly endorse the claimed discovery of the Talmud of Jmmanuel in Jerusalem by Eduard Meier and Isa Rashid. Prophet though, had read it and did make mention of some of its contents
- As a result of Adam's fall and Eve's sin, humanity was stripped of supernatural power which enabled them to levitate, fly, and display other manifestations of power- especially the powers of the mind- like telepathy and telekinesis. Prophet claimed to be a master dream interpreter, and hosted its own forum, where he would predict news stories that would appear on CNN News by posting them weeks in advance. Prophet campaigned for then Senator Barack Obama, to be the next President of the United States of America. He claimed he had dreams and visions long ago, and also claimed to have already posted years in advance, that the Senator would be the next president.
- It was foretold that a "counterfeit state" of Israel would be created with a race that would claim to be Jews, but were white converts to Judaism. Prophet did not endorse the BHI doctrine that, "all whites were Esau". Prophet believed only that "darker Jews" from Europe, like the Sephardic Jews, were Edomites. He claimed they had converted under Solomon's Kingdom, and later broke free of his dominion, taking parts of the "Jewish religion" with them.
- Prophet Yahweh's "Yahweh Prayer System" describes the correct posture for prayer (the hand and head are lifted toward the sky)
Controversy
Prophet Yahweh claims to be able to summon UFOs on command, and has submitted numerous YouTube videos which supposedly document such events. His claims inspire controversy and debate, because of his religious overtones, and doctrine .And especially ever since his success at being the first person to call down a UFO sighting of an "orange sphere that appeared out of a nowhere"; live on film in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 25, 2005 (around 4:00 O'clock PST). The story was picked up by ABC News Affiliate in the area, KTNV-News, after Prophet published a Press Release on the internet stating he would be summoning sightings, for extended periods of time - - to a culmination of a spaceship or spacecraft that would hover over his city and land. This would begin in his hometown, and he would then conduct a "Black Israelite Only" 50 State Tour; where he would summon in every major city of the United States. Prophet was given controlled conditions by this particular new outlet who first picked up on his offer. They chose the day, the time, and the setting. Prophet Yahweh began to pray, and they were not exactly convinced. But within 15 minutes, Reporter Mike Dilestrutto exclaimed, he could see something straight up, and it was in fact, bright. He described it like a white speck and his colleague Photo Journalist Jonathan Hawkins captured it on film. Prophet claims, the spacecraft had no chance to appear in 2005 because no one would document him calling it down.
