Prosper High School is a 5A public High School in Prosper, Texas, USA. It is part of Prosper Independent School District located in western Collin County, with a small portion of the district extending into Denton County. In addition to Prosper, the district serves a portion of McKinney and small parts of Frisco and Celina. The 2009-2010 school year began in a brand new building. The new school remains the most expensive high school in the state of Texas and it is only at half its capacity. Prosper, Texas is predicted to grow drastically within the next decade. In 2011, the school was rated "Recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]

Athletics

The Prosper Eagles compete in cross country, volleyball, football, wrestling, basketball, swimming, powerlifting, soccer, golf, tennis, track, softball and baseball. In 2010 Prosper introduced hockey as a club sport.

State titles

Clubs and organizations

In addition to athletics, Prosper High School competes in UIL Band, Theatre, Choir, Speech and Debate, and Academics, as well as UIL Color Guard and Drill Team.
PHS also has local chapters of national organizations such as FFA, National Honor Society, and Interact Club.
