Prostitution in Malaysia
Prostitution is illegal in Malaysia. Demand for prostitution has created a problem of people trafficking from China, Vietnam, [1][2][3] and other nearby countries.[4][5][6] Many of the prostitutes in Malaysia from China are from ethnic minorities like the Dai from Yunnan.[7] Sexual services, however, are widely available and laws banning prostitution remain largely unenforced.[8][9][10] Many pimps now ply their trade on the internet from sites like Malaysia Escort .[11]
