Protestantism in Qatar

Protestants comprise less than 1% of the population of Qatar.[1] The constitution provides for religious liberty.[2] Proselytizing by non-Muslims is prohibited by law.[2] No foreign missionary groups operate openly in the country.[2] Religious groups must register with the Government for legal recognition.[2] Christians are subject to the Sharia.[2] Christian religious literature in English is available in bookstores.[3] In 2013 the Qatar Anglican Church of the Epiphany opened, which also accommodates several Evangelical, Pentecostal and Protestant congregations.[4]
