Psychedelic Psunday

Psychedelic Psunday is a program airing on Toronto's CILQ-FM (Q107), a classic rock station. It airs every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The program consists entirely of music from the psychedelic era, spanning from 1965 to 1976. The program always begins with Alice Cooper's rendition of "Hello Hooray". Al Joynes hosts the show from its commencement until noon, Andy Frost, the voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs on AM 640, hosts until 6:00 p.m. This is the most eventful part of the show; At approximately 1:20 and 3:20, the game "Riffer Madness" is played. A riff from a song from the psychedelic era is played, and listeners can phone in and identify the song to win prizes. At 2:00, one side of a classic rock album from the psychedelic era is played in its entirety. This album side usually correlates with the topic of the current Classic Rock Weekend. Lastly, Andy takes calls, emails, and plays listeners' requests from 4 to 6 p.m. The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, The Beatles and Pink Floyd are most commonly heard throughout the program. John Scholes hosts from 6pm until 9.

At 4:20pm a game called Spin to Win is played in place of the 1:20 and 3:20 Riffer Madness. Riffer Madness was replaced with Spin to Win in 2014, although it is one of the games that comes up once and a while. The 4-6pm request have also been dropped. John Scholes no longer is heard on Sundays as he now co-hosts afternoon drive with Maureen Holloway.

A shortened version is also aired on Calgary's CFGQ-FM (also Q107), Sunday Mornings until noon. The show is hosted by Zenon West.
