Pterodoras is a small genus of thorny catfishes native to tropical South America.

There are currently two recognized species in this genus:[1]
- Pterodoras granulosus (Valenciennes, 1821) (Granulated catfish)
- Pterodoras rivasi (Fernández-Yépez, 1950)
