The Vanikoro flying fox (Pteropus tuberculatus) is a species of flying fox in the family Pteropodidae. It is known only from a few specimens from Vanikoro in the Solomon Islands, with the last possibly collected in 1926. It was thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in 2014. A survey in late 2014 indicated a population in the high hundreds or low thousands and reported on its habitat and food plants.[2]
